In Stand Out From the Crowd
It a post-game Monday, meaning it time to slap on that orange and green speedo and leap off the high dive into the deep recesses of my Canes thought pool..........1) Sorry, I ended up giving Miami too much credit. I had Michigan State winning 34-24, which would have been an improvement from the game final score. A number of things worried me going into Saturday...namely how disciplined and well-executed Sparty had looked so far against admittedly inferior competition. Sparty success on the ground again was cause for concern against a defense that just can tackle anymore https://www.mhoutletstore.com/Marcus_Clarke_Jersey-94. Honestly, any play that wasn a run outside was arguably a wasted play for State on Saturday, because they found success time and again running wide. 2) Zion Nelson and the rest of the line continued to show that theye going to be the death of this offense this year. Sure, there tons of blame to go around. Too many drops from the pass catchers. Mike Harley, Jr. and Will Mallory were culprits Saturday, with Mallory end zone doink being especially egregious and costly. Harley did bounce back after his drop with some key catches, but Mallory continues his 2021 milk carton photo campaign. Cam Harris looks slow as molasses lately, unable to run away from anyone or through many tackles. DEriq King, while a warrior, made some egregious decisions Saturday, turning the ball over 3 times. But, again, the offensive line generated very little push and had King running too much when he dropped back. Nelson getting whipped on the fourth quarter sack fumble was also avoidable and well described by our own Roman Marciante here: Only 2 defenders on your side of the Center. Defensive End is pressed out and IMO https://www.mhoutletstore.com/Michael_Redding_Iii_Jersey-82, this unnecessary false step to help your guard out, caused the unraveling of the game. 3) Despite the offensive mess, Miami found a star on Saturday in transfer WR Charleston Rambo. For whatever reason, State never adapted and kept giving him and King the 10 to 12-yard hitch patterns for first downs. Rambo caught both of the Canes touchdowns - from 3 and 14 yards out. For the game, he totaled 12 catches - which tied the school record for catches in a game - for 156 yards and 2 touchdowns. Game ball and a big pat on the back for number 11, because he gave one of the best performances Miami has had from a wide receiver in a long time. Bravo, Charleston. 4) I don want to see Gurvan Hall on the field for awhile https://www.mhoutletstore.com/Navaughn_Donaldson_Jersey-28. That inexplicably bad decision to attack the blocker beside the ballcarrier made national headlines and led to a 54-yard play: The defensive back glitched outHall hasn had a great start to the season to put it mildly, and it time for both Kamren Kinchens and James Williams to start seeing the field over him. And if Diaz wants to put them on the field together more, I also more than good with that right now. Let the fellas eat. 5) Speaking of letting them eat, Chantz Williams has simply been Miami most impactful defensive end so far this year. Give. The. Kid. The. Starting. Gig. Until. Someone. Else. Earns. It. 6) King has a banged up shoulder and is questionable for this weekend. Just go ahead and rule him out and give Tyler Van Dyke the start, and let him split time with Jake Garcia. It good practice against live competition under the lights for both players, especially since it a distinct possibility one of them will start the following week against a game Virginia team. 7) And lastly, while I not on here calling for the firing of Manny Diaz (yet), I want to know one thing: where the hell is Blake James in all of this? Yeah, yeah....I know it not his way to say anything, almost ever (post 58-0 Clemson loss notwithstanding), so spare me those particular comments, but acknowledging that this type of result is unacceptable gives us fans AT LEAST some comfort in knowing you actually care about the state of the programs youe tasked with managing. The baseball, basketball, and football programs have all slipped into near-total irrelevancy under your watch. Youe building the opposite of champions. Your teams are turning into mediocrity while you pimp a slogan and grift the donors and alumni. SAY. SOMETHING!!!! Pick up the iPhone, thumb out a tweet about how the result isn what we hoped, that you have higher expectations for this program, that you expect the team to turn it around, etc, etc. SOMETHING. SHOW. US. YOU. CARE. Because right now, it looks like youe content on being cheap and allowing the program to slog through mediocre seasons year and year. Be a leader for once in your freaking tenure, man. https://www.mhoutletstore.com/Jaylan_Knighton_Jersey-80 https://www.mhoutletstore.com/Jake_Garcia_Jersey-114

The Horned Frogs haven had a problem signing Texas kids over the years, but they have struggled mightily in one significant area: signing Texas quarterbacks. It has been four years since the last signal-caller from the Lone Star State signed with the Horned Frogs https://www.thfoutlet.com/Abraham_Camara_Jersey-110, when four star DeSoto High School quarterback Shawn Robinson stayed in the metroplex to sign with TCU. We all know how that worked out: Robinson struggled in his time running the offense for the Horned Frogs, eventually transferred to Mizzou, and will now make his return to DFW as a member of the Tigers, when he plays cornerback in the Armed Forces Bowl later this month.Prior to Robinson, Foster Sawyer and Grayson Muehlstein came as touted recruits; Sawyer from All Saints in Fort Worth and the man affectionately known as the Mule from Decatur, both arriving as members of the 2014 class. Sawyer spent three years on campus, seeing action in 12 total games with two starts, completing less than 50% of his passes with four interceptions and three TDs before matriculating to Stephen F Pro Wells Jersey. Austin. Muehlstein saw incredibly limited action in his five years on campus until his final three games, when he stepped in as the former fourth string QB to lead the Frogs to wins over Baylor and Oklahoma State on their way to bowl eligibility and the masterpiece that was the Cheez-It Bowl https://www.thfoutlet.com/Spencer_Dye_Jersey-101.If you shuffle back to 2011, youl find Trevone Boykin, the last in-state QB to make a significant impact on the program. But even then, well, he was signed as an athlete, not a quarterback, and it took a string of nearly impossible events to get him behind center. So really, it Casey Pachall that holds the honor of being the last Texas quarterback to be signed by TCU as a quarterback that actually played quarterback for a significant period of time and even his tenure wasn exactly lean. You have to go all the way back to Andy Dalton in 2006 to find an in-state quarterback that signed with TCU and spent his career at TCU being the type of quarterback he was supposed to be for as long as he was supposed to be it and even farther back to find one that hailed from the Metroplex. That kind of insane. So you can imagine the excitement around Josh Hoover, who could not only break a recent trend but start a new one. He isn a name that was on the radar of many TCU fans prior to his surprise flip from Indiana to the Frogs, but the recent recipient of the Landry Award, given to the top high school football player in North Texas, is an incredible pickup for Sonny Dykes and his crew. With elite accuracy and good mobility, the 61 prospect who is also a college-level baseball player (make the call, Kirk!), led Rockwall-Heath to an undefeated record in district play and the District 10-6A Championship while throwing for more than 3,200 yards, and 39 touchdowns. But more than just one individual player, you hope that this is a start of a trend. The competition for the top players in the Metroplex, and Texas as a whole, isn getting any easier. But seeing how quickly the new staff has prioritized the home region of TCU and the success that they are having is reason for excitement. https://www.thfoutlet.com/Sam_Jackson_Jersey-132 T.J. Challenge Accepted and WonThe Notre Dame Fighting Irish Women Basketball team just competed against the MSU Spartans in the ACC/B1G Challenge Chance Tucker Jersey. The game was up in East Lansing. The 6-1 Irish battled with the 6-2 Spartans, and the Irish came out on top 75-71. It was a hard-fought game from both sides, and the Irish relied on their freshmen to lead the way for this victory.First HalfThere was actually a fair amount of offense from both teams in the first quarter. They traded many buckets. That all started to even out as the game went on, though. The Irish actually found themselves going into the second quarter down by 2 points. But, after a few minutes of no points scored in the second quarter, we had Westbeld and Citron get into the mix with some great put back layups. The Irish took a 2-point lead of 36-34 into the locker room. Second HalfThe second half saw the Irish keep the lead, even if the Spartans kept within an arm length. Part of that were the starters having a slower game, so Sonia Citron came alive in the second half. She helped the Irish keep leads that fluctuated between 10 and 4 points and back to 10 points https://www.ndfioutlet.com/Ben_Skowronek_Jersey-68. But Citron kept scoring. She ended up with a career-high 29 points all off the bench. Additionally, Olivia Miles came extremely close to a triple-double with a double-double of her own. Thankfully the two freshmen came alive tonight to lead the team to their road victory.Nick King/Lansing State Journal / USA TODAY NETWORKOther News While We Were AwayLast week for Thanksgiving Weekend, the Irish travelled down to Daytona Beach to compete in the Daytona Beach Invitational. You mighte missed it in your holiday weekend celebrations but also because the games were on FloHoops.com. They first squared off against the Georgia Bulldogs last Friday night, but they lost 71-67 in a tough game. The next day, though, the Irish played 16th-ranked Oregon State and defeated the Beavers 64-62. Because of the hot start by the Irish and getting a ranked win https://www.ndfioutlet.com/George_Takacs_Jersey-10, the Irish broke through the rankings this week to be ranked 24th in the nation right below Oregon State and right above Florida State.Up NextAfter a nice 7-1 start to the season through November and the very first part of December, the Irish are about to face a formidable and familiar opponent. The next game up for the Irish is against the Number 2 UConn Huskies. The game is always circled on the calendar each season. This year, the Irish travel to Storrs, CT for the game. Tip off will be at 12 PM Eastern time and found on FS1 as well as the Notre Dame Radio Network. This could be a battle of freshmen again as Citron and Miles will meet Paige Bueckers, the number 1 recruit from this past recruiting class and UConn star freshman. Well, that was certainly not the way that Air Force fans wanted the season finale to go https://www.affoutlet.com/Women-19. If you want the full, painful recap, you can check out Mitch thoughts right here. If not, we can jump right into a few thoughts and takeaways from Saturday contest. On the bright side, Air Force was easily the better-dressed team on the field. It tough to top the Air Power Legacy uniforms any day, especially when Army trots out their standard triple-blacks. The weather also turned out to be far better than last week Army-Navy game in that we could actually see the players on the field throughout the game.Otherwise, wee mostly looking at a number of negative takeaways, so let get into it:TakeawaysInterceptions everywhereOnly one quarterback threw for more than 100 yards on Saturday, and that quarterback was Air Force Haaziq Daniels. Unfortunately, only one quarterback had three passes picked off as well. Again, it was Daniels. He had been interception free on the year to this point, but Air Force attempted 14 passes on the day, which left ample opportunity for trouble. All three picks came on deep attempts in Army territory https://www.affoutlet.com/Demonte_Meeks_Jersey-99, and two came on the Falcons final possessions. The passing woes capped off a night where Air Force couldn find a rhythm and found the end zone just once.Tackles aplentyDefense doing their thing today Alright, so there one positive takeaway from Saturday game against Army team tackling. The Falcons finished with six defenders in double-digits for total tackles, yet there were just 13 solo stops between them. Parker Noren led the way with six of those, but it speaks volumes to Air Force ability to clamp down on the Army offense. Unfortunately, Army ran nearly double the offensive snaps that Air Force ran, which may have contributed just slightly to the tackling stats. Air Force longest drive on the night was a 10-play touchdown, while Army scoring drives consisted of 20 plays and 16 plays. Kicking woesThe tale of Tevye Shuettpelz-Rohl is somewhat Jekyll and Hyde as far as the season goes. He didn miss a single extra point attempt, yet his performance against Army left quite a lot to be desired. Schuettpelz-Rohl couldn connect on either of his field goal attempts one of 32 yards and another of 37, to drop to 5-9 on the year. In a game where the margin of victory was just three Lakota Wills Jersey, a pair of costly misses was enough to cost Air Force its first C.I.C. trophy since 2016.Of course, the loss isn entirely on Schuettpelz Rohl. Offensive and special teams miscues doomed the Falcons, but turn-backs shouldn be an issue next year, and Air Force should be able to build on its 2020 campaign in a big way. Fresh off a humbling 72-58 defeat to USC Monday night, the Ducks of Oregon continued their tour of California when they clashed with the Stanford Cardinal in Palo Alto Mykael Wright Jersey. Both teams came into tonight contest looking to make up for losses, as Stanford is looking to make up for their loss to Washington State last Saturday. First Half: The Ducks got off to a bit of a slow start on offense, making only one of their first eight shots. After the loss to USC, this was exactly the kind of start Oregon didn want to have. Stanford wasn scoring at the pace USC did on Monday, but in the early going they looked a lot more prepared than the Ducks did. Stanford Daejon Davis had the hot hand early, as he scored six of the Cardinal first 10 points. Likewise, LJ Figueroa was putting in the work early to keep the Ducks in it, he had six of Oregon first eight points. Steal and slam for C_Duarte5!9 points for Lj_FigueroaDucks 18, Cardinal 179:14 | 1st GoDucks AlwaysUs The Ducks took their first lead when Chris Duarte knocked down a three, he was quickly making an impact early with a couple steals, a block and a couple baskets. Another LJ three made it an 8-0 run as Oregon had completely stolen the momentum away from Stanford. A back-and-forth battle ensued, as neither team could pull away. When the Ducks made a basket, Stanford was there to counter with one of their own. With three minutes left, Oregon led the Cardinal 26-23. A quick 5-0 run for the Ducks pushed their lead to 31-23 and forced Stanford to call a timeout https://www.odoutletstore.com/Louie_Cresto_Jersey-79. The Ducks have looked much more settled than their loss Monday, their ball movement was crisp and their defense was giving Stanford fits. Neville E. Guard-USA TODAY SportsThe Cardinal were able to mount a small run of their own, but LJ Figueroa hits the last shot of the half to put Oregon up by five going into the break. LJ was leading the Ducks with 13 points on 50% shooting, including hitting three of his six three-point attempts. Davis and Spencer Jones were leading the Cardinal with six points apiece.Second Half: The initial goings of the second half were all Stanford, a 6-0 run gave them back the lead as Oregon couldn get anything going on the offensive end. Oregon finally scored after a few minutes, but they struggled with turnovers early on and Chris Duarte had to leave the game briefly after taking a shot to the face. A few threes by Omoruyi and Williams kept the Ducks in the game, but they still trailed the Cardinal by one. THROW IT DOWN C_Duarte5!Cardinal 58, Ducks 557:33 | 2H#GoDucks |AlwaysUs Oregon was able to retake the lead when Chandler Lawson nailed a couple of free throws, the first ones they had taken all game. The lead didn last long, as a 7-0 Stanford run put them up by four with 11 minutes to go. Duarte came alive in the second half, he scored 9 straight points, but the Ducks were still down by three as Stanford was able to match Oregon shot for shot. Duarte hot night continued, Stanford had no answer for him, his tally was up to 21 with a three that gave Oregon the lead back with three minutes left. Neville E. Guard-USA TODAY SportsStanford made it a one point game with a minute left, but a couple Duarte free throws put the Ducks back up by three. Then with a one point game, Williams grabbed a huge rebound off a Duarte three and the Ducks called timeout with 11 seconds left. Stanford fouled Duarte on the inbounds pass https://www.odoutletstore.com/Tevin_Jeannis_Jersey-144, and Chris made one of his two shots to put Ducks up 70-68 with just six seconds left. Stanford Ziaire Williams missed a three, and the ensuing foul on Omoruyi gave the Ducks a 71-68 lead that they would not relinquish. The Ducks rebound from a tough loss against USC with a hard-fought win over Stanford, and theyl take on Cal this Saturday.Takeaways:Obviously the biggest takeaway is Chris Duarte second-half explosion. He scored 17 points in the second half, proving that when he gets going, there are few that can slow him down or even keep up with him. But his performance wasn all scoring the ball. With 2 steals and 2 blocks, he brings the same effort on defense that he does on offense. Will Richardson struggled in this game, making only one of his seven shots, Oregon will need him to bounce back if they want to beat Cal. https://www.odoutletstore.com/Ty_Thompson_Jersey-147 https://www.odoutletstore.com/Cj_Verdell_Jersey-33

UCLA (3-1) began its season with an eyebrow-raising victory 44-10 victory over Hawaii and then backed it up with the signature win of the Chip Kelly era in a 38-27 win over LSU in Week 2. The team took a step back against a competitive Fresno State team, but righted the ship last week on the road against a Stanford team which has been hard to figure out https://www.assdoutlet.com/Eddie_Czaplicki_Jersey-115. All told, the Bruins sit second in the Pac-12, right behind Arizona State. The game many expected before the season would be a tough test for the Sun Devils maybe has turned to the deciding game for the South division of the conference. For Arizona State, their opponent this week will feature some familiar foes, but added weaponry has made the Bruins ever the more dangerous in 2021. Quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson (Sr.)Why not start with the quarterback that has become one of the most dynamic players in the conference Through the first three years, the man known as DTR showed flashes of the enormous potential he possessed after a superb career at perennially dominant Bishop Gorman High School. Year four is the year it has all come together https://www.assdoutlet.com/Jacob_Jornadal_Jersey-46. Through the first four weeks of the season, Thomson-Robinson has passed for 919 yards on 89 attempts with nine touchdowns. Most impressively, the electric quarterback has taken care of the football, throwing only one interception in the game against LSU. Last season he averaged 5.6 yards rushing per game. Those numbers are down this season, but he remains a first class dual-threat quarterback when healthy. That the caveat this week, Thompson-Robinson suffered a hamstring injury last week against Stanford, and his rushing abilities may be limited Saturday night. UCLA fans will argue he is better than Jayden Daniels, ASU fans will scoff at that notion. The point is, both quarterbacks are talented enough to win football games on their own terms. Running Back Zach Charbonnet (Jr.)Charbonnet is in his first season close to home after spending his first two seasons in the Michigan backfield. A superstar running back in high school from Camarillo, Calif., he has been unleashed after being largely limited due to a conservative Michigan rushing attack which had the dangerous runner on the outside primarily rushing between the tackles. It clear this offensive system suits Charbonnet better. He has been a revelation for the Bruins rushing attack, and has moved into the top running back spot. So far in 2021, he has rushed for 360 yards on 46 attempts (7.8 YPC) and seven touchdowns. Brittain Brown, the redshirt senior who tore up the Sun Devils in Tempe last year by averaging over 13 yards a pop is back, and producing as well. Slowing him down will be a tough enough pill to swallow. Throwing in Charbonnet is like chasing that pill with a ghost pepper. Cornerback Qwuantrezz Knight (Sr.)Watch for 24 on the other side of the field https://www.assdoutlet.com/Matthew_Pola_Mao_Jersey-129, too. Knight is the best defensive player for the Bruins, and has been a nightmare for anyone on the other side. Like some members of the Sun Devil secondary, Knight is a senior in name only. Two weeks from now, he will turn the age of his jersey number. His fourth season was 2019, and statistically, it was his best with 74 tackles and 1.5 sacks. This season, Knight is on track to have another campaign like in 2019. Through four games, he has 17 solo tackles, 1.5 sacks, and three forced fumbles. He is not as much of a threat as a cover corner, as he has never recorded an interception in his career, but breaking tackles against him is near impossible. https://www.assdoutlet.com/Rachaad_White_Jersey-101 https://www.assdoutlet.com/Jackson_He_Jersey-86

A winner could not be found in 110 minutes in this top five matchup, as the No. 4 Wake Forest Demon Deacons drew 0-0 with the top ranked Clemson Tigers at Historic Riggs Field on Friday night. The Deacs moved to 11-2-2 on the season and Clemson moved to 12-2-2 on the year https://www.wfddoutlet.com/Erik_Russell_Jersey-124. With this result, Clemson retained its top spot in the Atlantic Division at 4-0-1 in the ACC in the spring, while the Deacs moved to 3-0-2, setting Clemson up with a chance to claim the division next week on the road against the Louisville Cardinals, while Wake will need a win on the road against the Syracuse Orange and a loss for the Tigers in Louisville to have a chance at the automatic NCAA tournament bid. This game saw some injury returns, with David Wrona and Garrison Tubbs both coming back into the lineup after being injured earlier in the spring, both coming off the bench. However, the Deacs also saw Jake Swallen taken out of the game with an apparent ankle injury, not returning to the match afterwards. Although it lacked goals, there was definitely some intrigue in this one. Early in the game, Clemson press was smothering Wake. The Deacs couldn find a way out of their half in the first 5-10 minutes, committing a few ugly turnovers along the way. Callum Johnson nearly got the tigers off and running with 30:30 to go, with his left footed effort from the top of the area being pulled just wide of the post. A minute later Hamady Diop connected with a deep cross from Johnson 12 yards out, but his effort was swallowed up by Cole McNally. After this period of Clemson dominance, however, Wake was able to start keeping possession and create a couple of chances of their own, with the closest to a goal being a curling effort from distance from Omar Hernandez with 25 to go in the half, but it ended up curling wide. For the rest of the half, Wake controlled the flow of the game and the possession, rarely looking uncomfortable against Clemson press, although they couldn find any clear cut chances in the first 45 minutes https://www.wfddoutlet.com/Zach_Murphy_Jersey-26. Clemson couldn either, and the sides would go into the half at 0-0 with Wake having the better of Clemson going into the half, but neither team really stamping their authority on the game. As dusk turned to night in Clemson, the chances began to fall for both teams. Mohamed Seye connected with a Luis Felipe Fernandez-Salvador cross, but his glancing header would go wide of the net. Another chance came to Seye off a turnover that the broadcast didn catch, with him receiving the ball from Hamady Diop and taking a shot that would be blocked by Prince Amponsah at the top of the box, but fell back to Diop who couldn react to the ball and ran it into McNally, who collected. Only seconds later, Omar Hernandez would get the ball in his own half in the middle of the field and send a long ball in behind the Tiger defense, with Chase Oliver finding himself one on one with George Marks, but his poke across goal curled back away from the post and out for a goal kick, as Kyle Holcomb also looked open for a chance at the back post Allan Rappleyea Jersey, although it would have been a difficult ball to get across under pressure. From there, although the game was very even, the bigger chances would fall to Clemson. Mohamed Seye would get a chance just outside the right side of the six yard box, which he somehow could only hit backwards, scuffing a big chance. Isaiah Reid would get a chance minutes later, getting on the receiving end of a cross from Justin Malou, but his powerful header would go over the bar. Mohamed Seye had another chance from a corner, but couldn make good contact on a free header almost inside the six yard box, jumping up and smacking the crossbar in frustration. Wake would not be without chances, however, as Oscar Sears would receive a ball over the top from Prince Amponsah on the right side of the box, but he couldn direct his effort on target, blasting it over the crossbar. Another headed chance would come to Seye off a cross from Charlie Asensio, but he would pop it over the crossbar. It was the last chance of regular time and the two teams would go into OT. It was clear to see that the Deacs were absolutely exhausted, and it showed in a pair of OT periods where the goal was mainly to survive and get a result. And ultimately, very little would happen in either period. A Quinn McNeill header that McNally easily claimed with 5:45 to go in the first OT period was the closest either team would come to scoring, with neither team creating any real chances, leading to a 0-0 final score. It was a decent performance for the Deacs, with some good and bad spells throughout the game, but neither team was really able to get anything going forward, excluding Clemson trying to capitalize on Wake lack of height in defense with deep crosses that would lead to decent shots https://www.wfddoutlet.com/Will_Cobb_Jersey-100, but not really big chances. As for man of the match, there were some solid shifts put in for the Deacs, but my pick has to be Prince Amponsah. Both defensively and in possession, Amponsah was great this game, breaking down the Clemson press with smart passes dribbles, also contributing some good tackles and some blocks. The Deacs will return to action next Friday at 7:00 PM at Syracuse. https://www.wfddoutlet.com/At_Perry_Jersey-105 Ryan Smenda Jr. Jersey

The Wisconsin Badgers men hockey team is an embarrassment. This year iteration of the team sits at 4-8 overall and 2-4-1 in the Big Ten after being swept by No https://www.wboutletstore.com/Semar_Melvin_Jersey-60. 15 Notre Dame, 5-1 and 3-0, over the weekend. Those results aren even THAT embarrassing on their own, as Notre Dame is a decent team that was playing at home, but it is the latest in a long string of embarrassing results that a once proud program has suffered under the leadership of head coach Tony Granato.Final: Notre Dame 3, Badgers 0Irish get the sweep. UW is held to one goal or fewer for the eighth time, the most ever in the first 12 games of a modern-era season.20 goals scored through 12 games also is a program low for the 59-year modern era.Granato came back to Madison ahead of the 2016 season to much fanfare. Firstly, he was replacing Mike Eaves, who had won 12 games combined over his last two seasons, so he already had a leg up because he literally wasn Eaves. Secondly, Granato is a Wisconsin men hockey legend having been named an All-American twice while skating in Madison and finishing his Badger career as the school fourth-leading scorer with 220 points, ranking third with 100 career goals. All of that is before you even note his successful career as both an NHL player and coach, which would surely appeal to recruits looking to get to the next level. very confident that wee taken the right steps today in re-establishing the dominance of our hockey program, athletic director Barry Alvarez said at the press conference to announce Granato hiring.t was more than I could dream for to get all three of those guys. To me, it the Dream Team, Alvarez went on to say, when adding assistants Don Granato and Mark Osiecki to the staff as well.Well, things have clearly not gone as planned. All seven of the Badgers men's hockey team's losses through 11 games have been by 3+ goals. It's the first time UW has lost 7 games by 3+ goals in its first 11 contests since the team's first season, 1921-22, when it went 0-8.(it should be noted that Wisconsin eighth loss this season came by three goals)Granato is now in his sixth season behind the bench in Madison and has made the NCAA Tournament one time and when he got there, ranked as the top-seed in the region, his team lost to Bemidji State in the first round, 6-3. He has a losing record (86-90-14 overall, 55-56-12 Big Ten) and has won the Big Ten regular season title once (he has not won the Big Ten Tournament). Three of his five completed season have ended with losing records and this year looks like it is headed in that direction as well. The talent he has had in Madison has been enviable and he has squandered it. Last season team was chock full of NHL talent, including Hobey Baker Award winner Cole Caufield, and while a Big Ten title is certainly nice, more was expected. Cole Caufield was a key member of Montreal run to the Stanley Cup Finals last year. Photo by Francois Lacasse/NHLI via Getty ImagesHe has also had Kndre Miller, Wyatt Kalynuk, Trent Frederic and Luke Kunin not to mention players like Dylan Holloway and Alex Turcotte who were recent first round picks that could debut with their respective teams later this year. Hell, this year team has Corson Ceulemans on it, the seventh Badger to get picked in the first round of the NHL draft in the last six years Brady Schipper Jersey.Talent acquisition is not the problem in Madison. Talent development is.Another problem is apathy. The state of Wisconsin doesn have an NHL team and while there are surely Minnesota Wild and Chicago Blackhawks within state lines, the Badgers hockey program is the main game in town. The women team routinely leads the nation in attendance and the men hockey team, when things are clicking, has the Kohl Center rocking.Since things have not been clicking, the ol barn has lacked juice and every time Todd Milewski tweets out a picture from the opening face-off a little piece of me dies inside. Even after a season where fans weren allowed in the arena the Badgers couldn muster a decent showing for the home opener.Badgers and Michigan Tech are underway at the Kohl Center. Happy 2021-22 season, everyone. This is just sad.Badgers and Army are underway at a sparsely filled Kohl Center. Even in a game against ranked arch-rival Minnesota, whose fans travel well, after a big overtime win the night before...there are still plenty of empty seats.Badgers and Gophers are underway at the Kohl Center. Now, Wisconsin is still near the top of the nation in total attendance because they play in the second-largest arena in the country and Rachad Wildgoose Jersey, as mentioned, there is no professional team with which to compete, but these pictures tell a different story. Tickets are also more reasonably priced for hockey than they are for football or men basketball which, even if the team stinks, makes it an appealing option for a cheap night out.Lastly, and this is purely anecdotal...but I imagine it has played out elsewhere too, my friends who are Wisconsin fans never talk about the men hockey team. There is a group of us, eight to be exact, and seven of us had hockey season tickets while in school. Four of us drove to Colorado College one winter break to watch the Badgers destroy the Tigers. We slept outside for a week, multiple years, in order to secure good seats with the Crease Creatures.Phil! Phil Phil Phil! Phil Phil Phillllllllllll! We were deeply invested in the success of the men hockey team and now https://www.wboutletstore.com/Alexander_Smith_Jersey-8, I doubt any of them outside of maybe one, could name the starting goalie for UW https://www.wboutletstore.com/Mike_Jarvis_Jersey-110. Now, to be fair, few of us still live in Madison but it is easier than ever to keep tabs on sports that aren on TV every week and none of us make the effort. When we here at B5Q don report on the men hockey team there isn too much of an uproar from the commenters. People are excited that we are expanding our coverage of the wrestling team and the women basketball team and that our volleyball and women hockey coverage is some of the best out there...but they rarely bring up men hockey.Wisconsin men hockey is Indiana men basketball. They are Nebraska football. They are hoping that past glories and banners will cover up current struggles. Well, they aren and change needs to be made.It is time for Chris McIntosh to fire men hockey head coach Tony Granato. More FromBucky's 5th Quarter Badgers in the NFL: Jonathan Taylor and T.J.
